The Department of Commerce was established in the year 2000. The college was granted affiliation from the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) on 14th December 2004 for the introduction of the commerce stream. The Department is constantly headlong towards effective understanding and development of various skills among students through innovative teaching methods, and interactive and participative learning ensuring the entirety development of students to be effective and efficient in whatever field they will be in the future and better citizens of the country. At present, the departmentis headed by F. Sohtun along with a team of four proficient staff. The Department episodically organizes skill development programs, workshops, and seminars on a variety of commerce topics and contemporary issues.
