Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is a scheme launched by the Government of India on 31st October 2015 as a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. On the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Patel the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi launched the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Scheme’ which aims to promote unity among the inhabitants of the states and Union Territories of India. Under this scheme, the States and Union Territories are paired for a year to exchange their culture in language, literature, cuisine, festivals, cultural events, tourism, and other practices mutually. In this way, the citizens get to familiarize themselves with their glorious history, customs, traditions, philosophies, cuisines, and other differences and respect others.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is an ambitious scheme that seeks to further strengthen the existing unity among India's diverse cultural and religious groups. It ensures peaceful coexistence among the people of India. With this intention Ri- Bhoi College has decided to set up an Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Club headed by C. Bamon, Department of History, as Co-ordinator along with Dr. E. Kharkongor, Department of Political Science, and L. Iawphniaw, Department of Political Science, as members of the club. The club aims to follow the principal objective of the scheme and to get the students of the college to familiarised and learned about the history, culture, polity, etc of the paired state of Uttar Pradesh.
